chapter 14 summary-Public Relations

When defining Public Relation is similar to but essentially different from advertising that both try to pursuade ,both use mass media. The main differences is that PR is management function,whereas advertising is marketing function.Pr also concern in communication,but advertising does not use interpersonal.Corporate web sites are first line of communication like shareholders.When communication with the media,PR practitioners use the internet to streamline their media efforts. like e-mail press release.In organization of the pr industry contains which are internal and external.Internal are like employees and on whereas external are like mass media.. There are also many main areas of PR efforts including business,non-profit .In internet PR department vary.A typical PR campaign involves several stages that are separately defined but in practice are a continuing and overlapping process.The first key step in the process like trade journals,surveys and so on.Followed by Planning that are strategic plans,tactical plans,and management by objectives.Next,Communication in where PR personnal become the source of the communication.Messages are sent using the desired channels.Last will be the evaluation on how well u did something example can be known through surveys.
